Ellen Luff is an independent type designer from the UK, with a background in advertising and a passion for beautiful design. Her fonts are used worldwide — from Apple and NBC to Russian nuts and remote bars in the Atacama Desert. Her favourite letter is K and her least favourite is Q.

Ellen Luff offers font customization, enterprise licensing, and type consulting for teams that care deeply about typography. She adapts existing typefaces to fit real-world needs — from custom weights and glyphs to expanded language support — and helps organizations license and implement fonts with clarity and confidence. When customization isn’t enough, she also develops entirely new typefaces tailored to the project.
